Scotland’s Census 2021 held events in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Dundee to discuss current plans for outputs, and further develop our plan
The Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) is carrying out an assessment of the 2021 Censuses for Scotland, England and Wales, and Northern Ireland. OSR will be assessing the extent to which the censuses meet the professional standards set out in the statutory Code of Practice for Statistics.
Following the publication of our Plans for Scotland’s Census 2021, NRS have undertaken further investigation into a limited number of requests which were made for the ethnic group and religion response options to be reviewed and/or additional information to be collected.
2021 Ethnic Group and Religion Questions Update Event
We are holding events in Edinburgh and Glasgow to present our proposals for the questions that Scotland’s Census 2021 will ask. This follows further investigation into changes to response options and collection of additional information in the ethnic group and religion questions.
